Steven Klosterman

A Regional Director with Halbert Hargrove in San Diego since 2003, Steve advises a wide range of individual and institutional clients, including a family office and their foundation, as well as entrepreneurs, executives, and nonprofits. Steve began his investment management career in 1981, building his own Registered Investment Advisory business, Klosterman Capital Corporation, prior to his affiliation with Halbert Hargrove.

Steve has long been actively involved in advising nonprofits in wisely managing their investment assets. He is the immediate Past Chair of The UCLA Foundation and continues to serve on its Board and various committees. He is a founding board member of the UCLA Investment Company, which oversees the investment of a $2 billion endowment. Steve also serves on the Investment Committees for The San Diego Foundation and the National American Lung Association.

Steve received his bachelor of arts from University of California, Los Angeles, a master’s of business administration from Stanford University, and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ from the University of Pittsburgh-affiliated Center for Fiduciary Studies.
