Manager, Climate Initiatives

As Manager of San Diego Foundation’s Climate Initiatives, Everett endeavors to provide leadership and drive philanthropic investments that promote a sustainable path to economic growth and a thriving quality of life for San Diego’s diverse communities. He supports the development of cross-sector partnerships and works with communities to advance equitable climate resilience for the region. He believes philanthropy can play a vital role in advancing change and has pushed for the integration of equitable philanthropic processes and relationships at the San Diego Foundation.
 
Prior to joining the world of philanthropy, Everett served various roles in the nonprofit and local government sectors, leading education and environmental programming. He is passionate about promoting inclusive community growth, and currently serves on The Funders Network's (TFN) Partners for Places Governance and Selection Committees, the California State Coastal Conservancy's Explore the Coast Advisory Board, and is a proud TFN PLACES Fellowship alum.
 
Everett holds a bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences from the University of California Santa Cruz, and a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the California Lutheran University.
