Kelly Wilkinson

Manager, Food Initiatives

As Manager of Food Initiatives at San Diego Foundation, Kelly provides leadership to support our local food system and regional efforts to invest in long-term solutions that benefit community health and our environment while empowering community choice and food sovereignty. Her focus is to ensure food initiative grantmaking is reflective of community needs.
 
Prior to working in philanthropy, Kelly served various roles in the San Diego nonprofit sector, leading a varied portfolio of public and private programs across workforce development, federal nutrition programs, and human services, including San Diego Workforce Partnership, San Diego Hunger Coalition, and Foundation for Women Warriors. Outside of work, she is a member of the San Diego Women’s Foundation and volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
 
Kelly received her BA in Sociology from Vassar College and her MA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from University of San Diego.
