Miguel helps donors navigate charitable giving and connect their generosity with the causes they care about. He takes the time to understand each donor’s values and goals, offering guidance on developing personal charitable plans, exploring legacy gifts, and deciding how to support their community. His approach is grounded in listening, building trust, and making giving feel personal and approachable.
With more than a decade at San Diego Foundation, Miguel brings experience in philanthropic planning and community grantmaking. He works with individuals, families, and organizations across a broad range of charitable interests and co-leads El Camino Fund, bringing donors and nonprofit partners together to strengthen the community. He previously served on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ San Diego Chapter and continued his professional education through Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Raised in central San Diego, Miguel is dedicated to the community he calls home and volunteers as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County. He is bilingual in English and Spanish, holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive credential and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge.
