Xiomara Arroyo is a Market Manager and Vice President for PNC Bank, serving the Southern California Region. She leads a team of dynamic financial consultants who customize financial wellness and employee benefits programs for mid to large sized companies.
Xiomara began her career in the financial services industry 16 years ago. She holds an undergraduate degree from California State University San Marcos and will graduate with an Executive MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management in June 2022.
She spent most of her career leading various branch teams in Consumer Banking and soon thereafter joined the workplace banking team at Wells Fargo where she implemented new household growth strategies in collaboration with her business banking and commercial banking partners.
Prior to joining PNC, she served as Foundation Manager for Wells Fargo’s public affairs group, where she managed a regional foundation budget of philanthropic and sponsorship investment dollars in partnership with market executives, to enhance market brand, reputation and strengthen the local communities that she served.
A strong proponent of giving back to others, Xiomara currently serves her time as Chairwoman of the Board of San Diego Habitat for Humanity and is also a member of the President’s Advisory Council at California State University San Marcos. In 2019, she was honored by the Urban League of San Diego County with the Whitney M. Young Diversity & Equity Award and was also named a 2019 finalist for San Diego Woman of the Year by San Diego Magazine.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors near the ocean with her husband and their five daughters: Isabella (15), Ariella (12), Natalia (8), Alessandra (6) and Bianca (6). You can also easily find this party of seven trying out new types of food or enjoying chocolate chip cookies and ice cream during a Friday family movie night.
On August 9, 2022, we awarded $838,704 in Opening the Outdoors grants to 24 nonprofit organizations that offer equitable access to outdoor spaces in San Diego County.
“San Diego Foundation is proud to once again support its partners committed to increasing community-driven efforts to enhance accessible outdoor space, encourage youth to learn more through hands-on education and create the next generation of environmental stewards in the San Diego region,” said Christiana DeBenedict, SDF Director of Environment Initiatives.
This year’s grantees will help address these inequities and enhance access to the outdoors throughout San Diego County.
