Director, Development

Julia GrantAs Director of Development, Julia works to increase the impact of charitable giving at The San Diego Foundation. Through donor advised funds (DAFs), planned giving, and other philanthropic vehicles she helps donors achieve their charitable goals. She is responsible for cultivating relationships with philanthropists new to The San Diego Foundation and strengthening donor and fund advisor relationships with a goal of establishing new funds and building enduring assets.

Prior to joining The Foundation, Julia served as a Director of Development at UC San Diego Health Sciences and as Senior Associate Director, Major Gifts at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Julia is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) San Diego chapter. She earned her master’s degree in journalism from The University of Texas at Austin and her bachelor’s degree in history from Northwestern University.
