Become a Member

There are many ways to get involved with the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, and give together with others who are passionate about this special community.

Become a member by making a contribution at one of the membership levels. Half of all membership dues go immediately into grant making efforts, while the other half is placed in a permanent endowment to sustain future efforts for the good of the Carlsbad community.

Other member benefits include participating in grantmaking, leadership on the board and/or committees, attending events, and recognition in promotional materials. All members receive one vote each year for the local nonprofit grant applications they deem most worthy and valuable to Carlsbad.

Matt McLaughlin established an endowment legacy fund at The San Diego Foundation that continues to make a profound impact on the North County region. The Matt McLaughlin Live Here, Give Here program supports membership dollars raised, growing Carlsbad Charitable Foundation grantmaking from member contributions for our community.

CCF also welcomes donations in amounts less than $1,000 so that you can make a difference for Carlsbad while learning more about the foundation for future potential membership. Donors at this level are non-voting members. You can give cash, appreciated stocks, real estate, or other assets as a donation. If you wish, your gift can be placed in an endowment fund that is carefully invested and can grow over time.
