We’re a proud affiliate of The San Diego Foundation that serves as the most effective funding force in supporting, strengthening and growing nonprofits in the Carlsbad community.

Our mission is celebrating and investing in Carlsbad. We meet emerging needs by encouraging and increasing responsible and effective philanthropy by and for the benefit of all who live, work and play in Carlsbad by building a Carlsbad community endowment; providing annual funding to non-profits that benefit the Carlsbad community; and giving Carlsbad community members a vehicle for legacy planning and gifts that will benefit Carlsbad, now and forever.

Become a Member

There are many ways to get involved with the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, and give together with others who are passionate about this special community.

Become a member by making a contribution at one of the membership levels. Half of all membership dues go immediately into grant making efforts, while the other half is placed in a permanent endowment to sustain future efforts for the good of the Carlsbad community.

Other member benefits include participating in grantmaking, leadership on the board and/or committees, attending events, and recognition in promotional materials. All members receive one vote each year for the local nonprofit grant applications they deem most worthy and valuable to Carlsbad.

CCF also welcomes donations in amounts less than $1,000 so that you can make a difference for Carlsbad while learning more about the foundation for future potential membership. Donors at this level are non-voting members. You can give cash, appreciated stocks, real estate, or other assets as a donation. If you wish, your gift can be placed in an endowment fund that is carefully invested and can grow over time.
