OCF members and friends,

As we head towards the holidays and the end of 2023, we wish you quality time with friends, family and neighbors!

Oceanside Community Foundation is committed to a culture of giving that supports, strengthens and enriches the quality of life in Oceanside. On Oct. 25, OCF invited nonprofit organizations to submit proposals for suicide prevention projects for Oceanside residents of all ages. We are eager to support projects that aim to make a difference through increased awareness and action. Please feel free to spread the word to any contacts you have at local organizations.

We know that connecting with members and neighbors builds fellowship and adds to our collective impact. OCF hosted another successful Fall Mixer at the Oceanside Broiler on Oct. 11. We thank those in attendance, and we encourage all members to do their best to join us at one of our social events. They are a fun way to bond with fellow members, share OCF’s impact, and meet new friends.

Please save the date for OCF’s Holiday Party on Dec. 5. RSVP as soon as you can!

We appreciate your generosity and thank you for coming together for the benefit of all who live, work, and play in the Oceanside community!

Best regards,
Beverly Holtz
OCF Board Chair

Grantee Spotlight: Girls on the Run

“Support from Oceanside Community Foundation is how we can make the dreams of girls come alive by participating in a program that provides them with in-depth social emotional learning, positive mentor relationships and friendships that will last a lifetime.” -Sandy Rabourne, Development & Fundraising Manager

Girls on the Run

In 2022, Girls on the Run provided two 10-week social-emotional learning programs to girls in third through fifth grades at Pablo Tac School of the Arts in Oceanside. We had a super turnout for both the fall 2022 and spring 2023 seasons with 47 participants. The Girls on the Run Program at Pablo Tec Elementary also provided supplies needed for practices, program curriculum, healthy snacks for each practice, transportation to and from the 5K, a program T-shirt, a new pair of running shoes and a water bottle for each girl.
