For Immediate Release

June 3, 2021 – San Diego, CA – The 4SRanch-Del Sur Community Foundation (4SCF), an affiliate of The San Diego Foundation, awarded $25,000 to three nonprofit programs to support in their COVID-19 recovery and relief efforts for 4S Ranch and Del Sur youth.

“While our whole community has struggled over the past year, youth have been especially vulnerable to social isolation and anxiety,” said 4S Ranch-Del Sur Community Foundation Board Chair Theresa Burke. “These three organizations and their programming will allow students in the 4S Ranch and Del Sur communities, especially those who are most at-risk, to receive the support and care they need in this time.”

Since its inception in 2008, 4SCF has granted over $320,000 to over 35 nonprofit organizations throughout the region.

List of 2021-2022 Grantees:

  • $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters to support mentoring programs for at-risk youth during COVID-19 by expanding support for online experiences connecting at-risk youth to adult mentors.
  • $5,000 to Del Norte High School Music Boosters to allow Del Norte High School to safely resume in-person music education classes. Funds will go towards purchasing specialized face masks with face slits and MERV 13 bell covers for wind instruments.
  • $15,000 to The Boys and Girls Club for support of their after-school Literacy Program.
