Kevin serves as a business consultant and advisor in the investment management industry. Focus areas include business formation, partnership design, strategic planning, marketing/distribution, and private equity deal sourcing. With over 30 years of business and investment experience spanning both the institutional and wealth management markets, Kevin has a deep understanding of the asset management business.
Most recently, Kevin was Managing Director at Rosemont Investment Partners, where his responsibilities included portfolio construction and management, deal sourcing, and evaluating prospective investment. Previously, Kevin was Managing Director at First Foundation Advisors, where he was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee with responsibilities for development of asset allocation and portfolio management strategies for business, institutional and high net worth clients. Prior positions include President at Rice Hall James & Associates, and Executive Vice President, Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Montgomery Asset Management.
Since 2014, Kevin has served on the Investment Committee of San Diego Foundation, and is currently serving as the FY20 Vice Chair. In addition, Kevin serves on the Board of Trustees of Scripps Health, where he chairs the Finance Committee. Previously, he served as PayPal Fund Board of Trustees Chairman. He is also a CFA charter holder, and a member of CFA society San Diego.
Kevin holds a BA in Economics and International Relations, and a MBA in Finance and Investment Analysis from the University of Southern California.
On August 9, 2022, we awarded $838,704 in Opening the Outdoors grants to 24 nonprofit organizations that offer equitable access to outdoor spaces in San Diego County.
“San Diego Foundation is proud to once again support its partners committed to increasing community-driven efforts to enhance accessible outdoor space, encourage youth to learn more through hands-on education and create the next generation of environmental stewards in the San Diego region,” said Christiana DeBenedict, SDF Director of Environment Initiatives.
This year’s grantees will help address these inequities and enhance access to the outdoors throughout San Diego County.
