Ashley Howell

Administrator, Finance & San Diego Housing Fund

Ashley plays a key role in the operations of the San Diego Housing Fund, advancing its mission to expand access to safe, affordable housing throughout the region. In her role as Fund Administrator, she manages day-to-day operational functions, including reconciliations, reporting, and process coordination, working closely with stakeholders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across fund activities.

Prior to joining the San Diego Housing Fund, Ashley served as an Operations Manager for a California-based nonprofit, where she developed expertise in organizational management and program support. She is also deeply engaged in community leadership, having served on the Board of the San Diego Urban League Young Professionals as Advocacy Chair and with the National Urban League Young Professionals, where she led community engagement and advocacy initiatives.

With an educational background in Psychology, Ashley brings a balanced, people-centered and analytical approach to her work, supporting housing programs and initiatives that align with the San Diego Foundation's vision of equitable, resilient communities.
