March 31, 2026 – San Diego, CA – San Diego Foundation (SDF) announced registration is open for the 2026 San Diego Fundraising Conference presented by PNC Bank, to be held Sept. 9–10 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

This year’s theme, “Build for What’s Next,” focuses on strengthening how nonprofits raise funds while facing shifts in funding and evolving community needs. Given today’s uncertainty, including federal funding changes, the conference gives nonprofits the opportunity to take control of their own futures.

Keynote speakers include Cherian Koshy, USA Today bestselling author and fundraising expert, and Dana Snyder, founder and CEO of Positive Equation, who works with nonprofits to grow consistent donor support.

Conference participants can purchase early bird tickets for $279 through May 15, with additional pricing tiers to follow, including a flat rate for attendees outside San Diego County. More information at sdfundraisingconference.com.

The conference comes at a critical time to the region’s more than 13,000 nonprofits, which are responding to rising demand for services while navigating growing financial pressures.

New data from the University of San Diego Nonprofit Institute found 81% of nonprofit leaders report a decrease in funding from at least one major revenue source, and nearly 70% saw increased demand.

“Strong nonprofits are essential to strong communities,” said Mark Stuart, President and CEO of San Diego Foundation. “By investing in the people doing this work, we’re helping organizations build the fundraising capacity and resilience they need to adapt, grow and meet what’s next for themselves and for our communities.”

Now in its fourth year and held in partnership with National University, the event brings together nonprofit professionals and fundraising experts for two days focused on learning, peer connection and real-world insights they can apply immediately.

In 2025, the San Diego Fundraising Conference presented by PNC Bank drew nearly 1,000 nonprofit professionals.

This year, thanks to the support of several sponsors, including San Diego Foundation, the conference continues to offer affordable pricing, expanding access to nonprofits of all sizes. By keeping prices down, the conference draws a wider range of organizations, perspectives and lived experience.

A ticket includes access to all keynotes and breakout sessions, along with lunch, a networking happy hour and complimentary books for attendees.
