April 10, 2024 – San Diego, CA – Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation (RBCF), an affiliate of San Diego Foundation, announced the availability of grant funding to enhance the quality of life for those who live, work and play in Rancho Bernardo.

“In our 36th year, RBCF looks forward to supporting projects demonstrating the power to build a more vibrant community,” shared Daniel Wilson, RBCF Grants Chair. “Organizations that serve the Rancho Bernardo community can submit applications for programs involving music for awards between $1,500 and $5,000 from the RB Symphony on the Green Fund. Awards up to $10,000 will also be granted to programs that inspire community pride, revitalization and increase the quality of life of the broader community.”

Proposals must be submitted online by no later than 5 p.m. PDT on Thursday, May 22, 2024. The grant application can be accessed online at SDFoundation.org/apply. A grant seekers forum will be held at 4:30 p.m. PDT, Thursday, May 2, 2024, via Zoom. RSVP information is available via the grant guidelines.

Preference will be given to projects that clearly address Rancho Bernardo-specific issues and needs. To be eligible for a grant from RBCF, organizations must have tax-exempt status and provide services in the community of Rancho Bernardo. These projects should be practical, achievable within a 12-month time frame and have prospects for long-term sustainability. Funding may be used to expand existing programs, replicate programs tested in other communities or to launch new efforts. RBCF will only fund programs managed by nonprofit organizations, schools or government agencies.

In its 36 years of grantmaking, RBCF has granted more than $1 million to over 150 nonprofit programs that strengthen the quality of life for all who live, work and enjoy Rancho Bernardo.
