October 26, 2023 – San Diego, CA – Oceanside Community Foundation (OCF), a regional affiliate of San Diego Foundation, today announced the availability of grant funding for suicide prevention projects for Oceanside residents of all ages.

“Suicide prevention takes place in many settings and requires multiple approaches. We want to support projects and organizations dedicated to making a difference through awareness and action,” said Beverly Holtz, OCF 2023-2024 board chair.

These projects should be culturally humble and sensitive, practical and achievable within a 12-month time frame, and have prospects for long-term sustainability. Grants in the amounts of $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and $25,000 are encouraged. Proposals must be submitted online no later than 5 p.m. on November 29, 2023. Grant guidelines including directions on how to register and apply can be accessed at www.oceansidecommunityfoundation.org.

Since 2009, OCF has granted more than $925,000 to over 60 programs that help grow a more vibrant community, so the current and next generation of Oceanside residents have a place they are proud to call home.
