Our Regional Affiliate Program has two upcoming grant opportunities for community organizations and projects in La Jolla and Ramona. Take a look at the overviews, deadlines and guidelines below and apply if you have a project or program that aligns with the goals below.
The La Jolla Community Foundation welcomes nonprofits and programs serving La Jolla to submit applications for its second annual grant cycle. The goal of this year’s grantmaking is to support programs that enhance community aesthetics and improve the lives of those who live, work or attend school within the geographic boundaries of 92037.
There is approximately $25,000 in available funding to award.
Applicants may request between $5,000 and $25,000.
Consideration will be given to projects that demonstrate collaborative efforts with other organizations and are sustainable and highly visible in the community. Projects must be achievable within a 12-month timeframe and adhere to the La Jolla Community Plan.
The deadline for submitting a completed application is Tuesday, June 30 at 5:00 p.m.
The Ramona Community Foundation encourages local schools, nonprofits and public agencies to apply for a grant during its fourth annual grant cycle. The goal of the 2015-2016 grant cycle is to support programs that make Ramona a great place to live, work and play. The ideal projects will increase dialogue and participation, inspire community pride, revitalization and increase the quality of life of the broader community.
There is approximately $25,000 in available funding to award.
Applicants may request between $1,500 and $7,000. Preference will be given to projects that clearly address Ramona-specific issues and needs; including activities that promote creativity, and enhance civic engagement. Projects that collaborate with other successful entities are highly encouraged.
The deadline for submitting a completed application is Monday, June 1 at 5:00 p.m.
On August 9, 2022, we awarded $838,704 in Opening the Outdoors grants to 24 nonprofit organizations that offer equitable access to outdoor spaces in San Diego County.
“San Diego Foundation is proud to once again support its partners committed to increasing community-driven efforts to enhance accessible outdoor space, encourage youth to learn more through hands-on education and create the next generation of environmental stewards in the San Diego region,” said Christiana DeBenedict, SDF Director of Environment Initiatives.
This year’s grantees will help address these inequities and enhance access to the outdoors throughout San Diego County.
