The San Diego Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization making all donations tax-exempt. Donations are non-refundable. All transactions are processed within the United States.
The San Diego Foundation has completed all sections of the Payment Card Industry’s Self Assessment Questionnaire resulting in a compliant rating.
Donate by Check:
Please make checks payable to The San Diego Foundation and mail them to “Attn: Donations” at 2508 Historic Decatur Rd., Ste. 200, San Diego, CA 92106. Please write the fund name and number on the memo line.
Donate by Credit Card:
Please call 619-235-2300 (M-F, 8am – 5pm) to make a contribution to a donor advised fund with your credit card. Credit card transaction fees will apply.
Donate via Wire Transfer:
The Foundation partners with First Republic Bank (12626 High Bluff Dr., Ste. 400, San Diego, CA 92130) for wire cash transfers. Please identify the amount and institution the wire transfer will come from, and a contact name and phone number for wiring institution. Donate Appreciated Stock:
We have many brokerage accounts and may have one with your brokerage firm. IN ADVANCE OF YOUR STOCK GIFT, we will need to know the:
- Fund name and fund number receiving the stock gift
- Stock type
- Number of shares and/or approximate value
- Your broker’s name, address, and phone number
- Type of account the shares are coming from (individual; family trust; etc.)
