Urgent Need

With significant unmet need in the hard hit, underserved communities impacted, on February 1, the SDF Board of Governors approved a new $1-for-$2 match, up to $500,000.

The San Diego Flood Response Fund receives donations and makes emergency grants to nonprofit service organizations engaged in disaster response and relief.

100% of donations to the fund are directed to the greatest needs as identified by our nonprofit partners, who are on the ground daily and with whom we are working closely.

We urge all San Diegans to donate so we can quickly get funds to the nonprofit organizations helping those with urgent needs. You can donate to the fund in three ways:

  1. Donate online. Use the secure donation form on this page to donate with your credit card, bank account or other forms of mobile payment (such as Apple Pay and Google Pay).
  2. Transfer funds. Existing SDF fundholders can transfer money from your fund to the San Diego Flood Response Fund through the MySDF Online Portal or by contacting your Donor Services team at (619) 814-1332 or
  3. Donate by check. Please make checks payable to San Diego Foundation. Write the fund name (San Diego Flood Response Fund) and number (7562) on the memo line. Mail checks to: Attn: Donations, San Diego Foundation, 2508 Historic Decatur Rd., Ste. 200, San Diego, CA 92106.

After 7 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST), all donations will be processed the following business day.

San Diego Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization making all donations tax-exempt. Donations are non-refundable. All transactions are processed within the United States.
