Level Up SD Partnership Update
Launched in partnership with San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) in 2021, Level Up SD supported summer enrichment programming by connecting community-based organizations with resources, technical assistance and funding opportunities tied to the state’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP).
The initiative increased access to summer learning and enrichment for SDUSD students, especially for those furthest from opportunity, while strengthening the capacity of local nonprofits. San Diego Foundation served as a convener, grantmaker and capacity-building partner.
As of January 2026, San Diego Foundation will no longer be leading the community-based grantmaking and partnership for SDUSD’s summer programming. For the latest information on how the district will approach summer programming moving forward, we encourage you to visit SDUSD’s Extended Learning Opportunities website: sdusdelo.com.
While our involvement in Level Up SD is ending, San Diego Foundation will continue to support expanded learning across the region. We remain committed to advancing access to high-quality learning and enrichment opportunities, and we will share future funding or partnership opportunities as they arise.
