October 4, 2018 – San Diego, CA – Chula Vista Charitable Foundation (CVCF), an affiliate of The San Diego Foundation, today announced a call for grant applications from nonprofit organizations. In its 9th grant cycle, CVCF invites organizations and agencies to submit proposals for human services programs that address needs in Chula Vista, such as economic development, homelessness, veterans’ assistance, financial literacy, civic engagement or conflict resolution.

Eligible nonprofit organizations serving Chula Vista may submit proposals for programs up to $60,000. Programs should be practical, achievable within a 12-month time frame, and have prospects for long-term sustainability. Grant guidelines are available here.

As part of the grant process, CVCF will also be hosting an informational grant workshop for interested organizations. The free, voluntary event will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at 10:30am at the Chula Vista Civic Center Library Auditorium. Interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP to Estela Mitrani at estelam@sdfoundation.org by October 8.
