Walton Family asks friends and the public to support causes and communities

October 28, 2019 – San Diego, CA – The San Diego Foundation today announced the establishment of the Bruce Walton Memorial Fund at the request of the Walton Family.

A San Diego leader and community champion, Walton was a former Dallas Cowboys NFL player and general manager of Smooth Jazz 98.1 KIFM-Radio who passed away on October 18 after years of failing health. He was 68.

The Bruce Walton Memorial Fund at The San Diego Foundation will support nonprofit causes within the San Diego community, UCLA family and organizations close to Walton’s heart.

“The positive effect Bruce had on so many people throughout his life will continue through support of the fund and the good work of the organizations that benefit from the fund,” shared Bruce’s daughter, Harmony Walton.
