Cheerful Giver Scholarship

When asked why the founders of the Cheerful Giver Scholarship established the fund, they replied “We are privileged and have been blessed beyond what we deserve. We have a true desire to help others make college more financially manageable. We have a particular passion for helping children in single parent homes and children of those who serve their community, such as pastors, teachers, police officers, fire fighters, and members of the military.” It is the hope of the donors that recipients of the Cheerful Giver Scholarship stay in touch with them to share their college experiences and eventually recognize the importance of giving back to their community.

The Cheerful Giver Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are children of single parents or children of parents who serve their community (e.g. pastor, church staff, teacher/educator, police officer, firefighter, military, etc.). Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and plan to attend an accredited four-year university in the United States. Past recipients may re-apply and will compete with all other applicants. This scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.
