Dr. Riedy founded the University of San Diego’s nationally recognized real estate program in 1993. The undergraduate program in real estate has been and is ranked number one nationally by College Factual. The graduate degree program has a reputation locally and nationally. Dr. Riedy also was the first holder of the endowed Ernest W. Hahn Chair of Real Estate.

Prior to joining USD he held senior executive positions in real estate and financial services including President, COO and Director of Fannie Mae, President and CEO of the National Council of Community Bankers, and Executive Vice President and COO of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. He has been recognized in Who’s Who in America since 1982 and Who’s Who in the World since 2005. Marquis, the publisher of Who’s Who, honored him with its exclusive Lifetime Achievement Award and its Humanitarian Award in 2017.

As Principal of Riedy Advisors he coaches and mentors executives and serves on boards of directors and advisory boards. Previously he has served on five public company boards and five private sector boards, including three years as Chairman of St. Vincent de Paul Village and ten years on its Board of Directors.
