LJCF supports improvement projects that enhance the community of La Jolla.

La Jolla Community Foundation (LJCF) raises funds through memberships and donations to support major projects in the community. Our purpose is to foster a sense of community and enhance the La Jolla experience. The LJCF is a public charity 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

VILLAGE STREETSCAPE PLAN

Our current project, the Village Streetscape Plan is a collaborative rehabilitation project designed to restore the infrastructure and improve the aesthetic appearance of three public right-of-way areas in La Jolla Village. Prioritizing the creation of community gathering spaces, finding ways to energize the streets and bring people to The Village, the plan expands the pedestrian areas with improved crosswalks, curb extension and increased shade areas.

MISSION

The mission of the LJCF is to support the development, launch and completion of improvement projects and services that enhance the environmental, cultural and commercial community of La Jolla.

The Board of Directors of the La Jolla Community Foundation continues to actively seek funding for the Village Streetscape plan with the goal to raise five million dollars for Phase I of the project by June 2023.

Philanthropist Una Davis launched the Village Streetscape Capital Improvement Project fundraising efforts with a lead gift of $1,000,000.

WARWICK’S GIVES TO THE STREETSCAPE PLAN AGAIN!

WARWICK’S to donate 20% of the sale of Paul McCartney's signed, limited, deluxe edition of “1964: Eyes of the Storm,” to the Village Streetscape Plan. The book is one of 175 copies worldwide, with only 11 copies available in California. The book will be up for auction, June 2–9.

1964: Eyes of the Storm, Signed Limited Deluxe Edition by Sir Paul McCartney

Taken with a 35mm camera by Paul McCartney, these largely unseen photographs capture the explosive period, from the end of 1963 through early 1964, in which The Beatles became an international sensation and changed the course of music history. Featuring 275 images from the six cities—Liverpool, London, Paris, New York, Washington, D.C., and Miami.

This signed limited deluxe edition of 1964: Eyes of the Storm is contained in a specially designed box. The book itself is housed in a custom black silkscreen slipcase with inset images printed separately, pressed, and attached to the case. The book sports a striking new jacket.

Paul McCartney's signature and the limited-edition number will appear on the first page of the book.

Additional features include: a cloth bound folio imprinted with black screen type on the cover; inside the folio is a printed interior sheet and an 8” x 10” fine art print.
