Mission, Purpose and Vision
Our mission at the La Jolla Community Foundation is to encourage civic engagement and pride through local philanthropy. Through our affiliation with The San Diego Foundation, we’re committed to increasing responsible and effective philanthropy in La Jolla.
Our purpose is to foster a sense of community and connection among La Jollans; enrich the environmental, social and cultural experience of La Jolla by creating public spaces to bring people together; enhance the aesthetic character of the community through investment in a variety of public art forms; and provide La Jolla community members a vehicle for legacy planning and gifts and encourage creation of special project funds that will benefit La Jolla, now and forever.
