Sample Fund Purposes

Each fund at The San Diego Foundation has a unique purpose. Your client can develop a purpose that reflects his or her charitable interests. Below are some sample purposes. Please visit Sample Fund Purposes-Current Funds or Sample Fund Purposes-Testamentary Funds for a more extensive list.

Broad Fund Purposes

  • The purpose of the fund shall be to support general charitable purposes.
  • The purpose of the fund shall be to support animal welfare and wildlife, health organizations and environmental causes.
  • The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide support to organizations that provide health and social services for seniors.

Specific

  • The purpose of the fund shall be to provide funds to further education and research and/or treatment in the area of congenital heart defects for The PICU, the IHI, and the Dept. of Mass Communication at CSU, Dominguez Hills.
  • The purpose of the fund shall be to support the following organizations - San Diego Rescue Mission (20%) and Chula Vista Community Congregational Church (1%). The remaining dollars should be distributed where the need is greatest. Particular attention should be given to harder to administer organizations that serve women, children, and seniors in need.
  • The purpose of the fund shall be to support 50% - educational and economic opportunities for girls, 25% - efforts that increase renewable energy, energy conservation and pollution reduction, and 25% - KPBS at home and like media around the world.
