The San Diego Foundation's Board of Governors Approves 109 Grants to San Diego County

The San Diego Foundation's Board of Governors has approved 109 grant recommendations, a total amount of $2,957,159, to a number of organizations in San Diego County. These grants will serve a variety of purposes in several areas, including arts and culture, health and human services, employment and economic development, and education. The San Diego Foundation's purpose is to improve the quality of life in all of San Diego's communities by promoting and increasing responsible and effective philanthropy. Founded in 1975, The San Diego Foundation is the largest charitable foundation in San Diego, maintaining more than $385 million in assets. The Foundation manages more than 600 private funds and distributes more than $30 million each year for charitable purposes. In its 25 years, The Foundation has distributed $155 million in grants to the San Diego community. Following is a list of the organizations that are receiving a grant, the purpose of the grant, and The San Diego Foundation Fund that is providing the grant.
