- Nonprofit Management Solutions is the major provider of management and technology consulting, training, and information resources to nonprofit organizations in San Diego County.
- San Diego Social Venture Partners brings great people together to dramatically impact San Diego philanthropy. We are an organization of 140 committed individuals who help San Diego nonprofit agencies become more effective and sustainable. The website contains some great capacity building training materials.
- SANDAN's (San Diego Association of Nonprofits) mission is to promote, connect and lead a vibrant and effective nonprofit sector that advances the well being of the San Diego region.
- The Caster Family Center for Nonprofit Research is currently compiling and constructing a resource center that includes, for example nonprofit activity in San Diego, library of reference materials and best-practice projects completed by students, and periodicals.

Another wonderful way to network with local universities is to email nonprofit education programs to see if a class needs a project, or a student needs an internship, or enroll in a course. The resources you receive are supervised by professors from the field, while the student receives great experiences and training.
