Endow San Diego's Nonprofit Partnership Program

A compelling reason for focusing on endowment building is its positive effect on the stability of the nonprofit sector. With underwriting from Wells Fargo, The San Diego Foundation established the Nonprofit Partnership Program as a component of Endow San Diego to bring nonprofit organizations together to focus on endowment building.

During the recent economic downturn, many of our local nonprofit organizations struggled to maintain their services, which in lean times are needed more than ever. An adequate endowment can provide a buffer against fluctuations in financial support.

The Nonprofit Partnership Program offers many benefits. Partners receive a professionally designed Nonprofit Partnership Toolkit packaged in a binder with a companion CD containing user-tested designs and materials. This “planned giving in a box” is provided free of charge by The San Diego Foundation with the generous support of Wells Fargo.

Members of the Nonprofit Partnership Program will also have the opportunity to participate in a portion of the publicity as Endow Your Passion rolls out. Newspaper advertising, newsletter coverage and website pages will present opportunities to shine the spotlight on some of the endowment success stories of our Nonprofit Partners. Forums on endowment and practical seminars on planned giving round out the Nonprofit Partnership Program.
