The Foundation is committed to increasing access to our open space for all, and is pleased to offer a preview to our upcoming Parks for Everyone report.
The study, scheduled for official release in August, is the result of a partnership with The City Project, REI, the Fletcher Family Fund, the Hattie Ettinger Conservation Fund, and a number of local nonprofit organizations. It creates a new understanding of the accessibility of recreational open space in San Diego in varying communities by integrating geographic, demographic, and economic data. It then examines how to enhance that accessibility so that every neighborhood can enjoy its benefits.
