Last month The Foundation hosted its Legacy League luncheon to celebrate those who have chosen to support the causes they care about into the future by establishing a legacy fund. The event, held at The Dana on Mission Bay, celebrated all legacy league members, and also served as an introduction of new donors who joined this special group this year. The luncheon also highlighted the special story Steve Prewitt, who left his estate to the preservation of Mission Bay Park and Mission Trails Park.
In keeping with the focus on Mission Bay, representatives from the San Diego River Park Foundation provided history on the area, as well as information on how the organization is restoring Mission Bay by partnering with High Tech High students. The San Diego Foundation awarded the San Diego River Park Foundation $20,000 to continue its critical work.
