Welcome to our newest members: Larry and Shirley Anderson
Shirley and Larry Anderson are thrilled to call Carlsbad home. The Anderson’s moved to Bressi Ranch one year ago and they love the feeling of community they have found in their new neighborhood. Shirley and Larry have been married for over 35 years and have 3 grown children. Larry is the current President and CEO of Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside. Shirley is a community volunteer and activist. Both Larry and Shirley support many area organizations, including the Moonlight / Avo Theater in Vista, Casa de Amparo, Boys and Girls Club, Women’s Resource Center of Oceanside, and the Tri-City Hospital Foundation Oceanside, to name a few.
Why the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation?
Joining the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation “just made sense” to Larry and Shirley. They like the idea of pooling together financial resources’ to focus on one important issue. When asked 'Why the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation?' Shirley replied, “Because Knox Williams asked us to! But, all kidding aside, we are honored to become a part of a group that can truly make a difference in our community.”

There are many ways to join the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, and contribute with other individuals who are passionate about this special region.
- Make a gift to the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation. You can give cash, appreciated stocks, real estate, or other assets. If you wish, your gift can be placed in a fund that is carefully invested and can grow over time.
- Let us help you set up a special fund in your name, in the name of your family or business, or in honor of any person or organization you choose.
- You can also join us as a member.
When you become a member of the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, you begin to make a difference for the causes you care about in this special community.
To join, simply make a contribution at one of the membership levels listed below. Half of all membership dues go immediately into grant making efforts, while the other half goes into a permanent endowment to sustain future efforts for the good of the Carlsbad community.

Members will be listed with others at their level and gift amount in a variety of online and print publications, unless they choose to remain anonymous. All members get one vote each year for the local grant applications they deem most worthy and valuable to Carlsbad.
The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation also welcomes donations in amounts less than $1,000 so that donors can make a difference for Carlsbad while learn more about the foundation for future potential membership. Donors at this level are non-voting members.
