Oak Valley Field Repair - 4S Ranch Youth Soccer Association
$5,000 supported a joint project between the 4S Ranch Youth Soccer Association (4SRYS) and the Poway Unified School District to repair the Oak Valley Middle School soccer fields over the summer months. The funded repairs made the field safe for all students and athletes who use the field. The 4S Ranch Youth Soccer Association programs offer soccer fun and games to boys and girls starting ages 3 to 18.

Fitness Room Upgrade - Oak Valley Middle School Physical Education Department
$5,000 went to the Oak Valley Middle School P.E. department  to purchase much-needed floor padding and flooring to cover the entire exercise area of the fitness and workout room. The 4SCF grant supports the P.E. department's program to expand and upgrade the school's fitness and workout room. Upgrading the fitness room allows for more students to do weight and core training programs, with the goal of  improving fitness program test scores in the Spring of 2012.

Technology Expansion - Rancho Santa Fe Fire Department
$2,500 went to support the production of a home sprinkler education outreach program. The Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District found that many homeowners were unaware of their fire sprinkler system's technology components. The outreach program will make it easier for homeowners to find the necessary and relevant information to keep their homes safe and protected from fire.

Thanks 4SCF funding, that success can continue.

Student Learning 24/7 - Del Sur Elementary School
$2,000 supported the purchase of Compass Learning, a computer-based instructional program that provides access to remedial education at home and at school for Del Sur students who need extra help in meeting state standards in reading and math. The program allows students to participate in one-on-one instruction through the computer 24 / 7, increasing access to learning opportunities for the school's neediest students. This grant was the result of collaboration between Del Sur and Monterey Ridge Elementary Schools following the success of the 4SCF grant to Monterey Ridge for Student Learning 24/7 in 2008.

Music Outreach Program -  Oak Valley Music Boosters
$1,000 went to support music outreach by Oak Valley Middle School band, orchestra and ensemble students. Funding to the Booster program supported the purchase of new sheet music, transportation to performances and the insurance necessary for students to perform at community events.
