Investment Performance

Investment Managers and PerformanceAll investments of the Foundation are monitored quarterly by the Foundation's Investment Committee. The Committee is comprised of board members, as well as other community volunteers who have investment expertise.

Investment Performance Summary

Seven & Ten Year Risk vs. Return

Endowment Performance
(formerly called Investment Managers and Performance Summary - Endowment Funds)

The San Diego Foundation's endowment funds are invested in a "Balanced Pool" portfolio, which is structured for long-term total return. To provide diversification and to moderate risk, the investments are divided into carefully-defined asset classes.

Nonendowment Pool ABC

(formerly called Investment Managers and Performance Summary - Nonendowment Funds)

The San Diego Foundation's Nonendowment funds do not have a permanent principal balance, and so may be granted out in their entirety. Accordingly, a long-term investment strategy is not appropriate. We have developed three investment options where funds can be invested based on the granting expectations.
